This famous poster was created by Michael Everett for the 1995 Grateful Dead Summer Tour, which would prove to be their last. The shows started on June 15 in Highgate, Vermont and culminated with two shows at Chicago’s Soldier Field on July 8-9. Jerry Garcia passed away shortly after these shows and the rest of the years tour was cancelled. The original posters were printed in a run of 4500 pieces and were first sold through Grateful Dead Merchandising as soon as the tour was announced. They sold out pretty quickly and were reprinted in a quantity of 25,000. Both posters and uncut proof sheets are known for both print runs.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 15” x 24½”.

The second print poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 18¼” x 27¼”. These posters have a tan border and the notation PCL062B in the lower left.
