The handbill advertises the first annual “Spam-O-Rama” on April Fools Day in 1978 at the Soap Creek Saloon. The only rule for this event was that contestants could create any dish as long as it included spam, and it specifies “no dog food, canned heat only,” as well.
Wave and the Vertical Smiles, from Eddyson, England, performed with Uranium Savages on April 1, 1978 at the Soap Creek Saloon.
The original handbill was printed on brown stock and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
The original poster was printed on green stock and measures approximately 11” x 17”.
