Paradise Valley Resort, Squamish, B.C. 8/22/69
Catalog No. MSO-PVR.1969.08.22
The Vancouver Pop Festival at Paradise Valley Resort in Squamish, British Columbia was a Canadian rock festival produced by Candi Promotions. There is debate whether the Grateful Dead performed at this festival or not. They are slated on the handbill, but it has been claimed that they did not play this concert due to problems with paid attendance. However, Jerry Garcia’s biographer Blair Jackson disputes this and assumes that the Dead did perform here to move past their poor performance at Woodstock.
The original handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
