Fillmore Auditorium ,Winterland 11/16/67

This gorgeous poster advertised a three-night show with The Doors that took place in two different venues. The Thursday show was held at The Fillmore, while the Friday and Saturday shows were held at the larger Winterland. This is the only poster for The Doors designed by Jim Blashfield, and it is stunning. The combination of color and lettering makes this our favorite of the few posters Blashfield designed.

The original poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 20¼″

The postcard comes in four varieties, all of which measure approximately 4½″ x 7″:

The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.

The Type B card has a blank back.

The Type C card has a bulk rate permit on the back.

The Type D card has a bulk rate permit on the back, and was addressed and sent to people on the mailing list.
