Fillmore Auditorium 8/15-21/67
Catalog No. BG-78
The central image is four slightly out of round shapes holding the names of the lead acts: Chuck Berry, Count Basie & His Orchestra, the Charles Lloyd Quartet, and the Young Rascals. The Steve Miller Blues Band and Hair also appeared at this show at The Fillmore Auditorium. This is the first poster in the Bill Graham series created by Jim Blashfield. Its truly psychedelic style includes avian/human, claws of a sort, and mushrooms.
The original poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.
The postcard has a “place stamp here” reverse and measures approximately 4½″ x 7″.
A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-77 and 78 and measures approximately 4½″ x 14″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
