Fillmore Auditorium 2/26/67

Catalog No. BG-52

This poster, which advertised a show with B.B. King, Moby Grape, and the Steve Miller Blues Band, is printed in black and gold on a red background. The poster art shows five people at the bottom rendered in black ink only with shading. The figure on the left is standing adjacent to a smoke stack. The smoke coming out of the stack surrounds the white lettering and comprises about two-thirds of the poster design. This piece represents the last poster in The Fillmore series that was created by John H. Myers.

The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 22¼″.

The second print poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 22¼″.

The postcard has a “place stamp here” reverse and measures approximately 4¾″ x 7″.

A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-51 and 52 and measures approximately 9½″ x 7½″. This card comes with either a blank back or a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
