Fillmore Auditorium 12/9-11/66

Catalog No. BG-41

Big Mama Mae Thornton made her second appearance at The Fillmore to open for the Grateful Dead in December 1966. Wes Wilson created this timeless design that is popular enough to have been printed twice.

The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 22″. The credit “Printing by West Coast Lithograph Co. SF” appears in the lower right margin.

The second print poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 22″. This printing does not carry the West Coast Litho credit.

The original handbill measures approximately 4⅜″ x 7¾″. Some copies of the handbill were addressed and sent to people on the mailing list.

The postcard comes in two types, both of which measure approximately 4¾″ x 7⅞″.

The Type A card has a West Coast Litho credit on the reverse.

The Type B card has a Creative Litho credit on the reverse.
