Another classic image from Mouse and Kelley, the central image of this poster is the JOB rolling paper logo which was created by the well known 20th century artist, Alphonse Mucha. Mouse and Kelly “borrowed” this image and proceeded to change the colors completely, giving it the proper psychedelic effect. One of the most recognizable and popular posters of the era, collectors can expect to pay the price for a top-condition original as only 2,000 copies were printed. Even the second print commands a hefty price, as there were only 1,000 of those printed. The handbills come in several variations, four of which use some colors not found on the posters.

The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 20″. The notation “The Bindweed Press San Francisco” appears in the lower right corner. Some copies missed the green ink run, producing an appearance of platinum blond hair on the central figure.

The second print poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 14⅛″ x 20″. This poster also carries the Bindweed credit and has the notation “29(2)” in the lower left corner.

The third print poster was printed on uncoated index and measures approximately 14″ x 20″. The notation “29(3)” appears in the lower left corner and the Bindweed credit has been deleted.

A forgery exists that carries the “San Francisco Poster Co.” credit.

The original handbill comes in five different variations. All were printed on thin paper and measure approximately 8″ x 11″.

Type A has green hair and a black border.

Type B has green hair and a medium-blue border.

Type C has gold hair and a medium-blue border.

Type D has gold hair and a dark-blue border.

Type E has gold hair and a black border.
