This interesting poster was designed by the ever-popular Rick Griffin for a Van Morrison show at the Avalon Ballroom presented by Soundproof Productions. This piece dates from 1969 and it is featured in The Art of Rock on page 108 as Plate Number 2.23. Soundproof was the first promoter to host shows at the Avalon after the departure of the Family Dog, and this poster was used for the second show they held.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 21¾" x 11"
