Longshoreman's Hall 10/24/65

Catalog No. AOR 2.11

"A Tribute to Sparkle Plenty" was the second Family Dog event and was held at Longshoremen's Hall on October 24, 1965. Posters and handbills were created for this event, with the posters being designed by Ami Magill and the handbills by Alton Kelley. The items from this Family Dog event are all quite rare and seldom offered for sale.

The original poster comes in several versions; one is printed in green ink on gold foil stock; another has green glitter on a light blue paper.

The Type A original handbill was printed on yellow stock in black ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.

The Type B original handbill was printed on light blue stock in black ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.

AOR 2.11

(Product#7847)

Original Handbill - Type A
Condition: Very Good
Notes: Numerous folds and creases; a few small edge splits; some light pink color across the front - we have seen another embellished like this and suspect that the Family Dog folks did it, similar to hand coloring a poster. At any rate, it is a seriously rare handbill that rarely shows up for sale.
