Fillmore West 11/28-12/1/68

Catalog No. BG-147

This image was the third and final collaboration between Rick Griffin and Alton Kelley. It incorporates an interesting reference to the Abba-Zaba candy bar, which seems to play a larger part in the design than the advertising for the show with Deep Purple, Cold Blood, and It's a Beautiful Day.

The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21⅞″.

The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:

The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.

The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.

A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-146 and 147 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
