This Lee Conklin creation advertised the summer series of concerts in 1968. The design erupts before the viewers’ eyes, and if you look carefully, you will notice that Conklin used naked female forms to create the lettering.
The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.
The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7⅛″:
The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.
The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.
A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-125 and 126 and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 14½″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
