Fillmore Auditorium 8/8-13/67

The central image of this poster is a shield, in the center of which is a photograph by Jim Marshall of the Electric Flag American Music Band. Above the shield is an eagle. Below the shield is a human face. The lettering for the bands and concert information flank the sides of the face. Moby Grape and the Steve Miller Blues Band opened for Electric Flag; South Side Sound System played all six nights of the show. Jim Marshall was another one of the great photographers who began his career in the late 1960s photographing rock musicians. Without the work of Jim Marshall, Herb Greene, and Bob Seidemann, a major part of the record of the psychedelic era simply would not exist. 

The original poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.

The postcard has a “place stamp here” reverse and measures approximately 4½″ x 7″.

A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-77 and 78 and measures approximately 4½″ x 14″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
