Fillmore West 2/20-23/69

Created by Greg Irons for a February 1969 show with Cold Blood, The Move, and Albert King, this image screams at the viewer to be seen. Irons was one of the artists whose posters were a bit wilder-looking than the early pioneers of the art form.

The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 22⅛″.

The postcard comes in three varieties, all of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:

The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.

The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.

The Type C card has a bulk rate permit on the back and was cut from a double card by the printer.

A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-160 and 161 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
