Crystal Ballroom, Portland, OR 2/16-17/1968
Also known as FD-P-1-680216B in Eric King’s guide, this scarce Portland handbill was the first of several to emanate from this venue. Whitey Davis, who worked for Chet Helms at the Family Dog, arrived in Portland to promote concerts for bands. Davis attempted to compete with Bill Graham by offering multiple venues for the bands to play in. This is a beautiful handbill with bright blue and orange color. No poster is known to have been printed for this event.
The original handbill is printed on slick white stock and measures approximately 4 ¼″ x 5 ¼″.
