Otis Spann Memorial Field, Ann Arbor, MI 9/8-10/72
The 1972 Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz Festival was large event and featured many big acts of the day such as Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Dr. John, Miles Davis. The poster was beautifully done by Gary Grimshaw and is very scarce. The image was also used to produced a color post card sized handbill as well as a thin paper monochromatic handbill. The color handbill shows up with some regularity but the monochrome version is very rare.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 17" x 22".
The original Type A handbill was printed on white stock and measures approximately 4⅛" x 5".
The original Type B handbill was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 8" x 11".
