Avalon Ballroom 12/30-31/66

This is an interesting design for a concert poster that came from the studio of Mouse and Kelley. The central image of a Spanish galleon sailing over turbulent seas with fish jumping out of the water and seagulls flying through the sky is visually appealing. This poster marks the first time that an original poster carried the correct number in the Family Dog sequence, and also marks the end of the plain paper handbills for this series.

The original poster measures approximately 13⅛″ x 19″ and bears the notation “41-1”.

The second print poster measures approximately 14″ x 20″ and carries the notation “41(2)”.

The original handbill was printed on thin paper and comes in two types. Both measure approximately 8″ x 11″:

Type A is printed on green paper in black ink; and

Type B is printed on tan paper in black ink.
