I will pay $3,000 for an original/vintage 1968 Jimi Hendrix Experience concert poster from the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.This poster was printed on extremely thin paper and was printed locally. The art work for the poster was credited to STRANGE. The poster is colorful and full of many psychedelic renderings. There was also a second version to this poster that is a lot smaller and printed on thick cardboard, featuring an image of Ben Franklin.That particular poster was done in a marquee style, listing many other upcoming acts besides the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

The Jimi Hendrix Gulfstream Park concert was held at Hallandale Racetrack outside Miami, Florida. The Mothers of Invention and John Lee Hooker also played at this pop festival. There are three versions to this poster. This festival was Michael Langs first concert. He went on to organize the Woodstock Festival. This poster is on thin paper but very pretty with turquoise and orange colors.

The concert took place at the coliseum and the poster was printed on very thin paper and exhibits a great use of colors and psychedelic renderings that so defined the art of the 60’s!

Poster artist Dail Beeghly created created many different 1960’s psychedelic posters for concerts in the Washington DC and Baltimore, Maryland area. One of Beeghly’s famous posters was for Hendrix’s Merriweather show in Columbia, Maryland. This concert was the day before the Atlanta show.The poster measures approximately 22×28 inches and was printed on thick poster board. Beeghly incorporated the names of the opening acts in each poster. Beeghly used fiery dayglow colors to create a trippy and psychedelic look. Approximately 200 Atlanta posters were printed and were hung in local barber shops, head shops and eateries.

This Jimi Hendrix Experience concert poster was used for the Atwood Hall concert at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts on March 15, 1968. The poster is printed by Metropolitan in Boston on heavy cardstock. The artwork was used for another Hendrix performance that took place at Brown University’s Marvel Auditorium. This poster lacks the typical Hendrix promo image used on Hendrix concert posters. It does feature interesting wavy psychedelic lettering. Hendrix did two performances that night at Clark University, which were recorded and released posthumously as Live at Clark University. The album was released by Dagger Records in 1999 and is available on CD.
