Vulcan Gas Company

This interesting Vulcan Gas Company handbill designed by Jim Franklin is known as the “Hairy Pumpkin.” The image is listed in Eric King’s guide as VG-681128 and advertises a show by The Children and New Atlantis. This was the first performance at the Vulcan by The Children, a Houston-based band that released albums on both the local label known as Cinema, and later on the Atco label.

The original handbill is printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 11¼" x 8"
