The Vulcan Gas Company was located in Austin, Texas and was the scene of many great concerts. Some great posters were designed for the shows by such artists as Robert Rush, Jim Franklin, and Gilbert Shelton. Most of the Vulcan posters are quite large, making them very difficult to find in top condition today.
This design features a reclining dragon and is done in shades of yellow, green, and red. The visual impact is superb!
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 21″ x 25¾″.
The original Type A handbill was printed on gray stock in brown ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
The original Type B handbill was printed on green stock in brown ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
The original Type C handbill was printed on yellow stock in brown ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
The original Type D handbill was printed on pink stock in brown ink and measures approximately 8½” x 11”.
