Terrace Ballroom, Salt Lake City, UT 7/18/68

Catalog No. MSO-TBR.1968.07.18

The Terrace Ballroom was located on South Main Street in Salt Lake City and was home to many concerts in the 1960s and 1970s. Bands such as Frank Zappa, The Grateful Dead, The Moody Blues, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin all played this venue. In the 1930s, this venue was known as Coconut Grove and was the largest ballroom in the U.S. In the 1940s, the name changed to the Rainbow Rendezvous, and finally in the 1950s, it became the Terrace Ballroom. Due to its location in the heart of Mormon country and the probable lack of any real psychedelic movement there, posters from the Terrace are scarce today.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 17" x 22"
