City Coliseum, Austin, TX 2/10/67

This great poster is one of the earliest psychedelic posters from the Texas area and was used to promote a concert by the 13th Floor Elevators and Conqueroo at the Austin City Coliseum. Fronted by singer/guitarist Roky Erikson, the 13th Floor Elevators pioneered the psychedelic music scene in Texas and were one of the first such bands in the country. They only had limited commercial success before disbanding due to legal problems and drug use. Erikson ultimately was committed to a mental hospital.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 22″.
