Fillmore Auditorium 11/4-6/66

While fairly common as a reprint, this poster is very difficult to locate as a first print. Muddy Waters was the central attraction and the people of San Francisco turned out in large numbers to hear him play.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 22½″. The areas within “4,” “5,” and “6,” as well as “Fillmore,” are filled with a heavy dot screen of the red background, making those areas appear quite pink.

The second print poster was printed on a coarse stock similar to vellum and measures approximately 13¾″ x 22½″. The areas referred to in the description of the original are a much lighter pink, and almost appear to be white when viewed from several feet.

The third print poster was printed on thicker (.0090″) index stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 22½″.

The original handbill measures approximately 4¾″ x 8″. Some handbills have a white area in the lower right corner.

The postcard was printed concurrent with the second print poster and measures approximately 4¾″ x 8″.
