Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, Long Island, NY 3/15-16/73
Catalog No. BG-288
Printed for a Bill Graham production in New York, this poster is quite scarce today due to the fact that most of the copies that were not used to advertise the concert were damaged when Bill Graham's office was firebombed in May, 1985. The attack stemmed from Graham's open criticism of President Reagan's visit to Bitburg Cemetery which was published in the San Francisco Chronicle.
The original poster was printed on thin stock and measures approximately 25″ x 38⅛″. Because of the thin stock this poster is very difficult to find in top condition.
There is also a forgery of this poster that is commonly seen on Ebay. It measures approximately 24″ x 36″. The size difference alone is enough to tell an original from a forgery, but the forgery is also much darker in color, with a blue background instead of the aqua found on the original prints.
