Moe's Books 6/1/66

Catalog No. AOR-2.287

Used to promote a June 1966 release by Country Joe, this poster was designed by Tom Weller in the shape of an old gramophone. The 33 1/3 RPM EP record included three songs: “Thing Called Love,” “Bass Strings,” and an instrumental named “Section 43.” “Bass Strings” became one of the most popular songs played on the new up-and-coming radio format then simply called “progressive” radio. Billboard magazine in 1967 referred to the Country Joe EP as “unique,” and the airplay it received brought them to the attention of the public and the music business.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14⅛" x 19⅞"
