Winterland ,Fillmore West 5/1 & 4/69

This poster advertised a series of shows by Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead with additional acts by Cold Blood, Elvin Bishop, and Cuban percussionist Mongo Santamaria. The poster was printed twice.

The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14⅛″ x 20⅞″. Original prints have a blue background.

The second print poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″. This print has a grey background and a small script “w” in the lower right corner next to the ticket outlet strip.

The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:

The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.

The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.

A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-170 and 171 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
