Fillmore West 12/26-29/68
Catalog No. BG-151
After a long absence, Wes Wilson returned to designing posters for Bill Graham with numbers 150 and 151. Both images are designed with faces, and each represents the conflict between Graham and Wilson. This poster features Wilson's characterization of Bill Graham, "rich and smug like an antique Roman merchant." Needless to say, BG151 was the artist's last poster for the Fillmore.
The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14⅛″ x 21⅛″.
The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:
The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.
The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.
A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-150 and 151 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
