Catalog No. MSC-FIL.1987.03.18
This gorgeous poster was produced for an event to protect the rights of the artists. The event was held at the Old Fillmore and featured many famous acts. The design of this poster was a collaboration of the five most famous poster artists of the 60s and early 70s and features an artist with a pencil superimposed over an image of a blindfolded Liberty holding the scales of justice.
This poster comes in two versions; a printed poster and a serigraph, or silk-screened version.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 15″ x 20″.
The original uncut proof sheet was printed on white stock and measures approximately 29” x 23”.
The serigraph was silk-screened on white stock and measures approximately 20″ x 26⅛″. In addition, the serigraph is hand-signed in pencil by all five artists, directly below their printed signatures.
