Fillmore Auditorium 8/12-13/66
The original poster was printed on a coarse white stock and measures approximately 14¼″ x 20″. There is substantial color variation among originals, and they usually display some color on the back as a result of the ink not being fully dry when coming off the press and picking up color from the sheet printed immediately prior. Original posters carry the notation “Wes Wilson ’66” in the background below “Aug. 13.”
The second print poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14¼″ x 20⅛″. The artist credit has been deleted on this printing.
The third print poster is printed on smooth white stock and measures approximately 14¼″ x 20″. The “Wes Wilson ’66” credit appears in the same location as on the originals. The difference between original and third print posters can be difficult to determine, but the stock used for the two print runs is distinctive enough that anyone familiar with the poster can tell the difference.
The original handbill was printed on thin, coral-colored paper in blue ink, and measures approximately 5¾″ x 8½″. The paper used to print this handbill is of very poor quality and there is some color variation between copies.
The postcard was printed concurrent with the third print poster and measures approximately 5½″ x 8″.
