Great Highway 5/15&16/70

Catalog No. MSC-GHY.1970.05.15

The handbills produced for the later Family Dog shows at the Great Highway were generally quite simple in design and this is no exception. This image features an airplane and a train, which might have some significance to the concert being advertised, but it escapes us. This concert included Big Mama Thornton, Sandy Bull, Medelbaum, and perhaps the feature attraction — Doug McKechnie & His Moog Synthesizer — an instrument that was quite new at the time.

The original handbill was printed on white paper and measures approximately 8″ x 11″.
