Grande Ballroom 10/7 & 8/66

This was the first poster in the Grande Ballroom series and is quite scarce. The poster was printed in red and black ink, while the handbill appears in black and white. There have been instances where reprints have been sold as originals by someone cutting off the copyright information at the bottom. This image is known as number 1 in the Henkel numbering system.

The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 13⅛″ x 18″.

The second print poster is a hand-printed silkscreen edition of 400 that measures approximately 16⅝″ x 24″. The notation “© 1966, 1993 Gary Grimshaw” appears in the lower left corner.

The third print poster was printed on thick white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 19″. The notations “© 1966, 1993, 2003 GARY GRIMSHAW” and “Third edition under license to Levi’s Vintage Clothing” appear in the bottom margin on the left side. Gary Grimshaw signed and numbered 297 copies of this printing.

The original handbill was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 8″ x 11⅛″.

Condition: Very Fine +
Notes: Light bumps on the upper corners; a small (less than ¼") split in the left edge; a bit of very light tape residue on the back. The imperfections are all small and minor and the color is absolutely superb. In the last 20+ years, we have only seen one other poster in nicer condition! This poster is the definition of the term "Trophy Poster".
