1601 West Evans, Denver CO 11/17-18/67
Catalog No. FDD-12
A collaboration between Rick Griffin and Victor Moscoso, this masterpiece is one of the more popular posters from the Denver Dog. Many hours have no doubt been spent trying to decipher the message in the central lettering, but all the information needed is in the small “voice bubble” in the lower left. Chuck Berry and the Sons of Champlin were the acts for this November 17-18, 1967 event.
The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 20⅛″.
The postcard comes in three varieties, all of which measure approximately 5″ x 7″:
The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.
The Type B card has a bulk rate permit on the back.
The Type C card has a bulk rate permit on the back and was mechanically addressed and sent to people on the Family Dog mailing list.
