Avalon Ballroom 8/2-4/68
Bob Schnepf designed this good-looking Pink Floyd poster that was used for an August 1968 show at the Avalon Ballroom. Opening acts were the Holy Modal Rounders and Crome Cyrcus.
The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″. Two different paper stocks were used, one is .0075″ thick and the other is .095″ thick.
The postcard comes in four types:
The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse and measures approximately 4″ x 6″.
The Type B card has a blank back and measures approximately 4″ x 6″.
The Type C card is a double card of FD-131 and 132. This card has a bulk rate permit and measures approximately 6″ x 9″.
The Type D card is the same as the Type C and was mechanically addressed and mailed to people on the Family Dog mailing list.
