Avalon Ballroom 1/20-21/67
Designed by Victor Moscoso, this poster features a central image of knelling man in Middle Eastern attire. The hippie culture was fascinated by religious mystics and they are represented on many posters of the period.
The original poster was printed on uncoated white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 20″.
The second print poster was also printed on uncoated white index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 20″.
The postcard comes in three versions, all of which measure approximately 5″ x 7″:
The Type A card has a blank back.
The Type B card has a Family Dog credit and bulk mail permit on the back.
The Type C card was mechanically addressed and sent to people on the Family Dog mailing list.
