An intricate design tells of a series of shows headlining Jeff Beck and Spirit at The Fillmore in December 1968. The lettering is comprised of body parts, gargoyles, bugs, fish, and other creations of Conklin's mind.
The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21¼″.
The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:
The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.
The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.
A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-148 and 149 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
