Winterland 12/26-28/69
Catalog No. BG-208
Singer used his familiar columns and moons in this collage, which also has a pair of white birds flying above a well-tended field. Sly & The Family Stone and Spirit were the main acts, complemented with Southwind - a country rock band from Oklahoma - and Ball 'n Jack, a short-lived jazz sextet that had a small following.
The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 21⅞″.
The postcard has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and measures approximately 4½″ x 7″.
A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-207 and 208 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
