The Bill Graham posters that are numbered 101, 105, 107, 108, 109, and 110 are somewhat unique in the series; all of them were printed twice, with the originals produced on a dull matte stock, and the second prints produced on a glossy stock. Originals of these numbers are quite scarce, but the second prints are quite common. The quantity of originals printed apparently decreased for this time period, unless there is another explanation we are not aware of. The BG-101 was the first of many posters that Lee Conklin designed for Bill Graham, and it typifies the bizarre psychedelic style that he employed. Unfortunately, some of the detail of Conklin’s work gets lost when it is lithographed. If you ever get the opportunity to see any of his original work, you will quickly see what we mean.

The original poster was printed on uncoated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.

The second print poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14¼″ x 21″.

The postcard has a “place stamp here” reverse and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 7″.

A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-101 and 102 and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 14″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
