Fillmore Auditorium 7/8-9/66

For some reason, originals of this BG poster do not show up very often. The Mindbenders from England were the stars, and the Wes Wilson design features a central image that appears to be a pun on the band’s name.

The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 20″. The Union logo #72 appears in the lower right corner, and “Wes Wilson ’66” appears vertically in the right margin. The bottom strip and the design are printed in chartreuse ink.

The second print poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 19¾″. The bottom strip and design are printed in yellow ink.

The third print poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 19⅝″. The notation “Wess (sic) Wilson 66” appears in the left margin towards the bottom. The bottom strip and design are printed in chartreuse ink.

The original handbill was printed on thin white paper in brown ink and measures approximately 5½″ x 8½″.

The postcard comes in three distinct types:

The Type A card matches the second print poster and measures approximately 4⅞″ x 7″.

The Type B card matches the third print poster and measures approximately 4⅞″ x 7⅛″.

The Type C card matches the third print poster with the exception that the left and right margins have been trimmed off. This card measures approximately 4½″ x 7″.
