Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead, and Sons of Champlin teamed up to play this two-day show at Winterland in October 1969. Bonnie MacLean designed the image, which is reminiscent of her early chalkboard drawings at The Fillmore.
The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.
The postcard has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 7″.
A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-197 and 198 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
