Fillmore Auditorium 2/4-6/66

Catalog No. BG-1

The BG-1 advertised Bill Graham’s first show at The Fillmore. Jefferson Airplane was the headline band. Additional bands from the Trips Festival, which was held prior to this show, also performed. There are two different original printings. The first has the credit “Design Peter Bailey East Wind Printers” in the lower left corner. Graham insisted that this be removed after about 100 posters were printed, and the remaining original posters were printed without this credit.

The original poster comes in two types, both printed prior to the concert:

The Type 1 original was printed on yellow index stock and measures approximately 15″ x 19″. The notation “Design Peter Bailey East Wind Printers” appears along the bottom left edge.

The Type 2 original was printed on yellow index stock and measures approximately 15″ x 19″. There is no artist or printing credit on the Type 2 original.

The third print poster was printed on white index stock and measures approximately 14⅜″ x 20″. The notation “Creative Lithograph Co. No. 1” appears in the lower left corner.

The original handbill was printed on thin white paper in red ink and measures approximately 6″ x 9⅝″.

The postcard was printed concurrent with the third print poster and measures approximately 4″ x 8″.
