Fillmore West 5/8-11/69

Twin arches oozing down to form a human figure comprise the central image of this poster designed by Lee Conklin. Albert King, Aum, and It’s a Beautiful Day performed at this four-day group of shows at The Fillmore West.

The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 21¼″.

The postcard comes in two varieties, both of which measure approximately 4⅝″ x 7″:

The Type A card has a “place stamp here” reverse.

The Type B card has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back.

A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-172 and 173 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
