This beautiful image - along with BG-280 - are two of the most popular Singer designs. Unlike most of his images, they are drawn artwork and not collages, and we often see these two framed together. This poster advertises a show with Miles Davis and Elvin Bishop.
The original poster was printed on coated index stock and measures approximately 14″ x 21″.
The postcard has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 7″. This card comes in both orange and yellow.
A double postcard was also printed and comes in both yellow and orange. This card bears the images of both BG-279 and 280 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
