David Singer made a departure from his normal style and placed the collage to the left side of this poster. His lettering is also quite different from the norm and appears very relaxed and readable. Like the BG-239, This poster is normally seen with some ink rubbing due to poor adhesion of the ink to the paper.
The original poster was printed on coated index stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 21⅜″.
The postcard has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 7″.
A double postcard was also printed that bears the images of both BG-239 and 240 and measures approximately 7″ x 9¼″. This card has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
