Winterland ,Fillmore West 4/8-11 & 4/15-18/71

This is one of the large, double-sized posters that advertised two weeks' worth of shows at The Fillmore West and Winterland. Dave Mason was originally booked, but he was replaced by Van Morrison. In a money-saving move by Graham, Mason's name was simply blacked out and Van Morrison's name was printed beside it.

The original poster was printed on coated index stock and measures approximately 21½″ x 28″. There are two major types of this poster:

The Type 1 original shows Dave Mason as one of the acts.

The Type 2 original is identical to the Type 1 except that “Dave Mason” has been blacked out and “Van Morrison” has been printed just to the left.

The postcards also come in two types that match the posters. These cards measure approximately 7″ x 9¼″. All cards have a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and some were addressed and sent to people on the mailing list.

The Type A card matches the Type 1 poster.

The Type B card matches the Type 2 poster.
