Winterland ,Fillmore West 3/26 & 29/70
Catalog No. BG-225
A year prior to this show, Chicago (then known as Chicago Transit Authority) had released its eponymous first album - Chicago, a smash hit that put the band on the map. David Singer used a skeleton that appears to be releasing seven white doves. This is a very popular poster, both for the imagery and the band.
The original poster was printed on slick, glossy-coated index stock and measures approximately 13⅞″ x 21¾″.
The postcard has a calendar of Bill Graham events on the back and measures approximately 4⅝″ x 7⅛″.
A double postcard was also printed. This card bears the images of both BG-225 and 226 and measures approximately 7⅛″ x 9″. It has a bulk rate permit on the back. In addition, some copies were addressed and mailed to people on the mailing list.
