Shrine Auditorium 6/28-29/68
Catalog No. AOR-3.75
Victor Moscoso created this poster for a show at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles starring The Who and Fleetwood Mac. The image is shown in The Art of Rock as Plate Number 3.75. Most examples of this poster display some degree of light inking here and there that looks like surface wear–in fact, we have never seen a copy without this. Interestingly, this poster was meant to be viewed with a color wheel and when ones does so, the animals and hands begin to move. Moscoso used this technique on several posters, including a couple in the Neon Rose Series. We cite several auction records well into the $2,000 range, with a high of $2,975 a few years ago!
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 22⅝" x 17½"
