Fillmore Auditorium 7/10/66
This is an unusual poster from the Fillmore Auditorium that was used to promote a benefit for the National Farm Workers Association. The Delano Grape Strike was held from 1965-1967, and began when farm workers walked off the job and demanded the Federal minimum wage. The National Farm Workers Association, which was headed by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, joined the strike and brought the plight of the farm workers to the attention of the nation.
The original poster was printed on white vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 20″.
The original handbill was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 5″ x 8″.
