120 Julian Street, San Francisco circa 1967
Catalog No. AOR-2.352
This unusual poster was used to advertise “An Evening of Political Satire,” which was presented by a theatrical group known as The Pitschel Players. The image shows a billboard man hanging paper over a Wes Wilson-like design. The show was sponsored by The Society for the Preservation of Foreign Countries and copyrighted by “Blissful Ignorance Productions.” This is a very scarce and seldom-offered poster featured in “The Art of Rock”.
The original poster was printed on white vellum and measures approximately 14″ x 20″. We have seen copies printed in red or black ink - the red seems to be the scarcest.
