Fillmore Auditorium 2/12/67
This was another poster designed for a benefit held at the Fillmore Auditorium. Most commonly known as “Abe Lincoln’s Birthday,” this concert was held to benefit the Council for Civic Unity, one of several Bay Area groups focused on civil rights issues. The Grateful Dead received top billing, but they were still six months away from releasing their first album.
The original poster was printed on white stock and measures approximately 14″ x 20″.
The original handbill was printed on thin white stock and measures approximately 8″ x 11″.
