Fillmore Auditorium San Francisco, CA 12/10/65
Catalog No. AOR 2.36
Late in 1965, San Francisco Mime Troupe founder R.G. "Ronnie"Davis was indicted for performing in public parks without a permit. Bill Graham organized a series of three benefit concerts that were held beginning in November 1965 and culminating in January 1966 with a show known as "Appeals III." This handbill is for the second Appeal, which was held on December 10, 1965 at The Fillmore Auditorium. The importance of this piece cannot be overstated; it predates the series of shows that Graham produced at The Fillmore by a couple months. These come printed in two colors of ink; blue and brown.
The original handbill was printed on white stock in brown or blue ink and measures approximately 7” x 9½”
